Zhang Qianfa, Chief Physician and Master's Supervisor, graduated from West China University of Medical Sciences and has worked in clinical care, teaching and research in orthopedics for more than 39 years. He worked for many years at tertiary hospitals, successively serving as Deputy Director and Director of Orthopedics, Secretary of the Ningbo Orthopedics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Deputy Chairman of the Microsurgery and Hand Surgery Branch; he now works in clinical care, teaching and research at the orthopedics clinic of Yida Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai University.
He has long specialized in trauma orthopedics, joint surgery and spine surgery, with a solid grounding in orthopedic theory and extensive clinical experience, a thorough command of the standardized diagnosis and treatment of common, frequently occurring and difficult, complex orthopedic conditions, and extensive clinical experience in joint replacement, pelvic and limb fractures and spinal conditions, dedicated to providing patients with precise, safe and standardized orthopedic care.
He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of bone and joint disease, skillfully performing joint replacement surgery for hip, knee and shoulder conditions; he specializes in the standardized diagnosis and treatment of cervical and lumbar spine conditions, as well as the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of pelvic and limb fractures.
He has also long carried out the clinical diagnosis, treatment and research of difficult orthopedic conditions, with extensive clinical experience in trauma orthopedics, joint surgery and spinal conditions, and can develop individualized treatment plans according to the patient's condition.
He has long worked in clinical orthopedic care and research, publishing more than 50 professional papers in leading and core Chinese journals; he has hosted national-level continuing medical education programs on many occasions, including consecutive 2013 and 2014 national continuing education programs and a training course on "Emergency Care and Treatment of Pelvic Fractures".
He took part in writing 1 monograph, "Total Hip Replacement Surgery" (People's Medical Publishing House), served as associate editor of 2 university textbooks on the musculoskeletal system and 2 university textbooks on "Health Assessment and Adult Nursing". His research achievements have received the Third Prize of the Provincial Medical Science and Technology Progress Award and the Third Prize of the Municipal Government Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as the Third Prize for Outstanding Papers in Provincial Natural Medicine and the Second Prize for Outstanding Papers in Municipal Natural Science, among other research awards.
