Shanghai Yida Hospital (Yida Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai University) is backed by the strong academic support of School of Medicine, Shanghai University, part of China's national Double First-Class university program, and by the substantial resources of Bo'ai (China) Enterprise Group (founded in 1989, centering on medical investment and hospital management, with operations across both domestic and international markets).

Guided by its motto "Great virtue upholds the art of medicine, a great physician is skilled and sincere", the hospital is a large modern general hospital integrating clinical care, teaching, research, prevention, health maintenance and rehabilitation. It is a national training base for continuing medical education programs and a major public welfare project under the "13th Five-Year Plan" for Qingpu District, Shanghai.
