Distinguished Expert, Department of Cardiology, Shanghai Yida Hospital

Graduated from the Department of Medicine of Harbin Medical University in 1982, then remained at the university to work at its Second Affiliated Hospital, earning a PhD in clinical medicine in 1993.

From 1994 to 1996 he undertook postdoctoral research at the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai.

In 1996 he was recruited to the Department of Cardiology at Shanghai General Hospital and was later promoted to Chief Physician of Cardiology.

In 2004 he became a Doctoral Supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He was responsible for the day-to-day clinical work of the cardiology intensive care unit at Shanghai General Hospital for 12 years, gaining extensive experience in the emergency care and treatment of critical conditions such as acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock and severe arrhythmia.

In June 2013 he was recruited to a public hospital in Pudong New Area as Director of Cardiology and senior expert.

He holds practice qualifications in both internal medicine and general practice, as well as dual qualifications in coronary interventional diagnosis and treatment and in pacemaker procedures. Over 40 years of practice, he has independently performed more than 1,500 percutaneous coronary stent angioplasty procedures and more than 1,000 pacemaker implantations of various kinds.

He now works in clinical care, teaching and research in cardiology at Shanghai Yida Hospital, specializing in difficult and critical cardiovascular conditions, the emergency care of acute myocardial infarction, the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, the diagnosis and medical treatment of bradyarrhythmia, and permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation.
