Xu Dongjin
Director of the Second Ward of Cardiology, Shanghai Yida Hospital
A renowned expert in the emergency care of cardiology emergencies and critical conditions in China, with a master's degree from Nanjing University, he has worked in clinical cardiology and research for more than 20 years and has performed more than 10,000 cardiac procedures of various kinds.
He completed one year of training in radiofrequency ablation and pacemaker implantation for arrhythmia and one year of training in coronary interventional techniques organized by the National Health and Family Planning Commission, took part in research comparing patterns of coronary artery disease between Chinese and Australian populations, and has published more than 20 medical papers.
He now works in clinical care, teaching and research in cardiology at Shanghai Yida Hospital, where he has performed our hospital's first pacing-lead extraction plus leadless pacemaker implantation, our hospital's first CRT-D procedure, various coronary drug-coated balloon angioplasty and stent implantation procedures, and radiofrequency ablation for various arrhythmias, and took part in our hospital's first highly complex TAVR cardiac interventional procedure; he has conducted in-depth research into the diagnosis and treatment of various cardiac emergencies and critical conditions and of pulmonary hypertension.
