A renowned expert in the field of cardiovascular medicine in China, and one of the few versatile cardiovascular interventional specialists who combine multiple core techniques; he has independently performed nearly 10,000 cardiovascular interventional procedures of various types, and has completed a large number of operations on elderly, high-risk and complex, difficult cases, particularly in catheter ablation for arrhythmia, pacemaker implantation and coronary stent implantation for coronary heart disease. Performing combined interventional treatment of multiple cardiovascular conditions in the same patient is a distinctive strength of his practice, and his work has been reported many times by mainstream media.
He has worked in clinical practice, research, teaching and management in cardiovascular medicine for more than forty years, successively serving as Chief Physician, Professor and Deputy President of the Air Force General Hospital, Professor at the Fourth Military Medical University, Chief Physician at the PLA General Hospital, and Professor at the PLA Medical School. He now works in clinical care, teaching and research in cardiovascular medicine at Yida Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai University.

He has deep expertise in interventional procedures for coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, heart failure and atrial fibrillation, and specializes in particular in: interventional procedures for complex coronary heart disease, ablation for difficult arrhythmias, implantation of various cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators, RDN procedures for high blood pressure, interventional procedures for peripheral vascular disease, and combined interventional and hybrid procedures for cardiovascular disease.
He has led and completed a number of major national and provincial research projects.
He has published more than 400 academic papers in China and abroad.
He has served as chief editor, associate editor or contributor for more than 20 books.
He has obtained a number of national patents, several of which have been commercialized.
He has led and taken part in the R&D and production of a number of innovative medical devices and instruments.
Jointly awarded the title of "National Star of Medical Science and Technology" by the Ministry of Personnel, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Health.
As first contributor, received 2 second prizes for scientific and technological progress and 2 second prizes for medical achievement from the armed forces, and 1 third prize for scientific and technological progress from the armed forces.
