Shanghai Yida Hospital (Yida Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai University) is backed by the strong academic support of School of Medicine, Shanghai University, part of China's national Double First-Class university program, and by the substantial resources of Bo'ai (China) Enterprise Group (founded in 1989, centering on medical investment and hospital management, with operations across both domestic and international markets).

Medical Centers

Cardiac Surgery Center

The Department of Cardiac and Great Vessel Surgery is led by experts including Xiao Mingdi, Wan Feng and Li Baojun, performs more than a thousand operations a year and ranks among the leading centers in China for critical care case volumes; specializing in minimally invasive and thoracoscopic techniques, it routinely performs complex cardiac procedures of all kinds as well as advanced artificial heart implantation.

Cardiology Center

The Department of Cardiology is led by experts including Meng Qingzhi, Xu Dongjin and Wu Xusheng, is benchmarked against Shanghai municipal standards for key discipline development and has 167 beds; the department routinely and efficiently performs complex cardiac interventional procedures of all kinds and is dedicated to the treatment of difficult cases and to emergency and critical care.

Orthopedics Center

The Department of Orthopedics is led by the renowned expert Tian Jiwei, is benchmarked against Shanghai municipal standards for key discipline development, and draws on advanced techniques to provide patients with precise assessment of the whole spine and joints, individualized treatment plans and comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Neuromedicine Center

The Neuromedicine Center covers both neurosurgery and neurology, specializes in minimally invasive surgery, interventional treatment and specialist clinics, and routinely provides evidence-based care for emergency and critical conditions such as traumatic brain injury and cerebrovascular disease.

Critical Care Center

The Critical Care Center brings together the ICU and the coronary care unit (CCU), providing round-the-clock close monitoring and precise treatment for patients following major surgery and for those with severe cardiovascular disease, multiple organ failure and other critical conditions.

Medical Imaging Center

The Medical Imaging Center combines interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology and has introduced leading international imaging technology to provide high-precision diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive interventional treatment across all body systems.

Ultrasound Medicine Center

Led by Dr. Lei Kairong, the department has been approved as a national training base for "visualized precision minimally invasive musculoskeletal ultrasound" and is equipped with more than 20 leading international color ultrasound systems including the Voluson E10, routinely performing high-precision ultrasound diagnosis and visualized minimally invasive interventional procedures.

Laboratory Center

The Laboratory Center is built strictly to national Biosafety Level II standards and has introduced fully automated intelligent analysis lines from Beckman Coulter and Thermo Fisher of the United States. Benchmarked against international quality management systems, it is dedicated to providing efficient, accurate laboratory diagnostic information for clinical care and health screening.

Medical Equipment Center

The hospital is equipped with advanced international medical technology including MRI, CT, DSA and hyperbaric oxygen chambers, together with a number of high-specification central operating rooms. With technology enabling better care, the hospital continues to introduce modern diagnostic and treatment equipment, using precise diagnosis and effective treatment to strengthen its services across the board and safeguard patients' health.
